Container refers to a kind of container used to carry goods when sea, land, and air transportation are combined. Container transportation is the development direction of freight transportation, which is of great significance for reducing the overall logistics cost of the whole society and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of domestic and international supply chains. Containers can be divided into many types according to different uses. Tank container is a special container made for the transportation of food, medicine, fuel oil, chemicals and other liquid goods, so it is also called liquid container. Its structural feature is that a liquid tank is fixed in a metal frame. Because tank containers are mainly transported by sea for a long time, and most of the transported goods are highly corrosive, the use of stainless steel materials for tanks has become the mainstream.

The rapid development of container transportation has promoted the prosperity of the container manufacturing industry and provided opportunities for material manufacturers. Before 2007, all domestic tank containers and their manufacturing materials depended on imports. Since 2008, domestic trial production of tank containers has officially started. In the following years, a number of tank container production lines were successively built and put into production in China, and the demand for stainless steel materials also increased rapidly. To adapt to the development trend of the tank container industry, TISCO has carried out strategic cooperation with leading companies in the domestic container manufacturing industry to jointly develop stainless steel products for tank containers and accelerate the substitution of imported products.

Tank container manufacturers have extremely strict requirements on the performance and surface of stainless steel materials. Innovating process technology and improving quality control are the keys. TISCO formed an integrated research team for the production, marketing and research of stainless steel products for tank containers, and successively carried out a series of technological researches, broke through each technical difficulty, and successfully opened up the process route. The whole line strengthens production organization and quality tracking control, strives for perfection, creates high-quality products, and finally successfully develops high-performance and high-quality stainless steel products for tanks, and quickly forms a mass production capacity characterized by "tailor-made", breaking the long-term Since the monopoly of foreign products in this field, it has successfully replaced imports. The cold-rolled stainless steel sheet for tank containers has thus become a typical representative of TISCO's many "first launch and first use" products. At present, TISCO has become the main material supplier of stainless steel materials required by the three major domestic tank container manufacturers
